IM nutrition: salty food
On long training rides and when racing (Half) IM I often have eaten that much sweet bars, gels and drinks that I can't smell/taste them anymore.
On long rides I sometimes stop on a shop and buy potato chips or salty nuts.
In a Half Ironman in France they had salami , cheese and potato chips on the run aid stations. I ate some chips but could not stomach salami and cheese.
IM Swizterland had salty crackers on the run. But they were so dry that I could only eat very little.

What do you eat when training or racing long. Do you eat salty food? What kind of salty food.

I've found that canned, ready-to-eat chicken soup works well. There are only so many gels/bars I can eat before feeling ill. By contrast the soup seems like real food.
