There are probably a lot of pros "thinking" about this race. Who shows up for IMNYC is probably going to be dictated by the July 31 KPR deadline. Anyone outside of the top 40 are probably going to go to NY in hopes of scoring the 4000 points available to make the August 31 KPR deadline.

X2... I'm out here in Boulder, and from what I've heard a lot of the local pros have this * if necessary* feeling about NY.

I havent heard any news about pro's participating in IMNYC/NJ. Is it still too early?? Do you think WTC is giving pro's any additional incentive / pressure to participate since they need to bring some excitement to this race?

Oddly enough, no. Just left IMCDA and didn't hear any chatter about it there either. Though I am sure they'll turn up. I'll ask around this weekend while training to see if I can get a feel.

I'm racing IM NYC, and I have been committed since December. Not sure why there is no list available. I have heard from Luke Bell that he's racing it, as well as Trevor Wurtele, TJ Tollakson, Chris McDonald, Paul Ambrose, and possibly Ronnie Schildnecht. I cannot confirm that any of those other guys will definitely be there, but I know that I will.
On the women's side, I believe Mary Beth Ellis is going, and Brandon Marsh mentioned that Amy is racing it. Right, -Tex?
And I'm sure there are quite a few top athletes planning to race it. I'd be willing to bet that a good number of Sutton's crew will be there.
For our sport, $125,000 is a lot of money, and I'm sure folks want a piece of it! And we are probably also quite keen to swim in the Hudson...

The New Specialized Wind Tunnel
Will this be a game changer for Specialized, in both sales and product design, or will it not move the sales and design needle versus those in Specialized's competitive set?
Yes, Game Changer
