I found reading these to be quite helpful in my preparation for what was my first IM. Details of my race at Ironman Louisville last weekend in my blog: http://gjgrosicki.blogspot.com/...0/im-louisville.html.

Thanks for reading and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Great write-up!!

Nice race greg! Congrats!

I have always been fearful on throwing coke or redbull on my face.

While I’m new to this as well, be careful about adding solids to your bike nutrition. Solids are harder to process and slows things down, especially at the speeds you are racing at. Which could negatively affect your ability to absorb all the nutrition.

Just something to consider and think about.

Thanks Steve!

Good point about the solids, that's actually why I went all gels in the first place. I'll have to do some experimenting, perhaps a bigger breakfast will be sufficient.

Can't wait to see you crush at Florida!
