I did an estimation as follows:
- 2219 STARTERS this am as far as I can see going age group by age group on the live tracker
- 7 slots I allocated directly to the small ags with less than 15 starters
- remaining 43 I allocated proportionally eg m50-54 had 185 starters and 185/2219x43 is 3,58. Rounded that to 4
- the caveat is how wtc handles the roundings
Results of my estimate.
M18-24 1
25-29 1 (was 1,35 so could go to 2)
30-34 4
35-39 5
40-44 8
45-49 5
50-54 4
55-59 2
60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75-79 1 each
F18 1
25 1
30 2
35 2
40 3
45 2
50 2
55 1
60 1
65 1
However I think wtc is having some black box equation and no idea exactly how it handles the roundings

Thanks for crunching the numbers best of luck getting a slot. I have been in your shoes, and have had it round in my favor and not in my favor on separate occasions. Marc Roy at sports stats does a a great and fair job.

I was talking to Owen (the 2nd place finisher in the AG) last week and he sounded doubtful about taking a spot if he was in a position to take one.

Not really how WTC's formula works but you're probably ballpark.

here is what I got from the pic of the slot allocation.
the M78 slot went to 30-34
and seems like there was another slot given to the 40-44 group from one of the older age groups that didn't have a finisher

35-39 5 and rolled one
40-44 6
45-49 5
50-54 3
55-59 2
60-64 2
65-69 1,
70-74 1
75-79 1 <--didn't take it

They had 5 slots and one rolled down b/c a guy wasn't there. So 6th place guy got a slot.

These elder female AGs all had a starter? The slots only roll within gender if the AG has a starter and no one from the AG accepts the slot. If there are no starters, the slot goes into the main pool to be allocated across all AGs and does not stay within the gender.
