How do you find the best Tri related deals
Quote | Reply
I'm looking to find the best deals on a few products, one of them being the Garmin 920xt. How do most companies announce when a product is going to be discounted....... Facebook, Twitter, email list...any others?

The 920 just came out. Be prepared to wait awhile for any substantial discount

There are a number of clearance sporting goods sites out there. The Clymb and Left Lane Sports hide the good stuff behind a mandatory log in, and can sometimes get permission from manufacturers to offer better prices than you'd normally get on clearance items. (Though they're not always cheaper- cross check those site sales prices with what an item is going for elsewhere on the intrawebs. Clearance blowouts are uneven) Both offer a modest discount on first purchase if you sign up using someone else's referral code.

You don't have to 'join' Sierra Trading Post in order to view prices, but you do have to try to figure out their super discount sale process to getthe really good prices on things.

Haven't bought much from Sierra but I'm a happy user of both Clymb and LLS. Just note that The Clymb's return policy is normally store credit only.
