I'm running a day glo helmet atm, mostly because it didn't match any of my bikes. My road bike is red and white, my commuter is green and my fat bike is burgundy. I'd say buy a helmet you like and mount a light on it, much safer and no questions about dorky colours.

My wife always has a hard time seeing me on race day, as my tri suit doesn't really stand out. I'm thinking of adding some bright paint to my aero helmet for a bit more visibility by her. A friend used to wear one of those bright orange Rudy Project helmets, and I could literally see him a mile away on straight sections just by the helmet.
