Help on Swim Training in the Naples, Italy area
Quote | Reply
I have recently relocated to Naples (actually Monte di Procida), Italy from San Diego. Pool availability seems to be few and far between. If anyone lives in this area and has any insight to good pools for swim workouts I'd be interested. I work for the DoD and the pool hours at the Support Site and Carney Park are not supportive of early workouts. If anyone is looking for a swim partner please PM me.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I have a buddy whose wife is stationed there and he trains for IM's and knows all the gouge. Find "caughtontherun" on here or via FB: Ryan Barnett. He stalks here so he may respond after getting back from watching the Tour in Paris!

Mark, try this group http://www.cnposillipo.org/Home.aspx?AreaID=11 I have friends Francesco Panarello and Neil Mac Leod (Francesco some english and Neil is Scottish I think...so some english as well???) A couple of things: hours are fairly limited for lap swimming; you will be required to join the club with monthly dues; must always wear a swimcap, you will also need a nuoto certified health certificate for about 40e; and your codice fiscale. There are many pools around but they tend to be fairly pricey, limited hours, crowded, lacking lane dividers, and require your health certificate. Capo pool will be open in a month. If you are interested in joining CN Posillipo, find me on fb and I will put in touch with Neil.

Sharting Happens...deal with it!
