Hed H3 and Superlite 2006 Vintage - worth??
I just looked at a H3 and Superlite disc locally here from a retired TT'r. The wheel set is in v/nice shape, tubular with alum braking surface. I didn't detect any wobble and the bearings feel good. No skewers or cassette. Shows little wear. She was sponsored on other wheels so these didn't see to much riding.

Ask $1200 with little wiggle room!

2nd opinions?

I'd say too much. A flo 60 and disc would be the same aerodynamics on most days, new, easier to handle and about the same weight.

The superlite disc is noticeably flexy, at least in my experience, and there's always a little bit of play with the rear wheel given the sealed bearings and the freehub. May not matter to you but if you have tight clearance in the rear triangle it's going to be an issue.

There better be a LOT of wiggle room...like 50% of the asking price wiggle room.

yeah there's no way in hell she'll get anywhere near that asking price. I see that sort of thing all the time on local craigslist ads. People with 10 year old trek 5200s with ultegra from same year wanting $2-3K. $5-600 max on that wheel setup

edit - thanks for bringing me to my senses! Yeah it's strange. I have to give stuff away, but when shopping for parts some hold onto it like a family heirloom(maybe they are).

e.g. I bought a set of DA C50's off Craigslist. Had a max price in mind and went with cash. The guy would not accept the offer, which was close. I ended up taking the wheels and mailing him the difference ($25!). They were 1st gen wheels, yellowed decals, ancient tires and dried up sealant inside, all promptly blew up.....choice.

Actually, kinda like these HED's. Run don't walk!! I have to say that the tri-spokes sell quickly around here in the $500-600 mark. the HED disk I didn't like. I think Zipp's carbon over urethane core is a good way to go with that.

I am in-line for a set of Firecrest 808/disk 2013? tubular @ asking price. I'll just sell my older 808 and disk and go from there.

I would say $250 for the H3 with the fixie crowd. $150 for the disc (what I got for it) add $200 if track disc. Better off selling an old 3-speed in Chicago 6 years ago....could have purchased almost new 404s for what the hipsters were paying.
