Looks like the new, soon to be released Newton or Newton+ doesn't need any calibration. I have no affiliaton with iBike but am looking for a decent, viable solution so I can race and train with power on all of my bikes and my trainer.

We know you want to get out and get riding! So we made calibration virtually non-existent.
  • • No need to push buttons on the iBike "Setup" screens just use your computer andiBike Isaac software to enter your info then click to transfer all your setup info to your iBike Newton+!
  • • No coast downs
  • • No wind calibrations

Cool, if you buy the hype. I did more than once but have always been disappointed so far and life is too short to continue wasting it with something that is more hassle than it is worth IMO.

Yeah, I get the marketing hype thing. Going to wait and watch before I buy one, if ever. Still hoping for the perfect, cost effective power solution to pop up soon.
