Gastroenteritis-Recovery?

I've been laid up since from some stomache virus since last Saturday. I have no energy and just want to sleep all day. It started with vomiting and now I have constant diarrgea. I'm assuming I won't be better anytime soon. I haven't trained since last Saturday. But once I get back to normal....how do I approach training. Just pick up the plan where I left off? I have a race in 2.5 weeks (its just a sprint). I beginning to wonder if I will be fit and trained enough to do really well. I'm coming off a big training block.

I had something similar, thankfully only two days, but I was so wiped out there was no way I could have picked back up where I left off. I took the first few days as a recovery period, cut way back on time and effort to allow my body to fully recuperate. I felt like I as really weak, but snapped back after 2-3 days.
