Garmin Varia Radar + Aero Seatpost

Can you mount the Garmin Varia radar on the seatpost of a tri bike? I can't find any information on mounting to a Cervelo P2 seatpost.

Are you that dense?

I'm asking people on a tri forum who have tri bikes if they successfully mounted this to an aero seatpost. Why do you have to turn everything into sarcastic drama?

Shouldn't you be asking whether it can mount to a p5x seatpost?

Stop spending all your money so you can actually buy a p5x.

Aero seatposts on road bikes are different than tri bikes which is why I asked. Shouldn't you be crying about losing your rim brakes in a few years?

Thank you for the helpful posts unlike a few people on here who can't seem to do anything better with their lives.

Seriously? Both links I provided had this answer in them. Yes, the LMGTFY link is a bit tongue in cheek helpful, but you have serious issues lately. Not everything is an attack on your personal character, despite what you seem to believe.

The aero mount will work if you get a bigger rubber o-ring to hold it (the provided ones aren't big enough to stretch around the deeper seatpost). I've been looking for a more secure way to mount it; the round seatpost bolted mount is rock solid, while the aero rubber band mount seems a lot less trustworthy.

*I have a P4 (same seatpost as the old p2/p3)

Damn... you need to take a deep breath. Don't take things so personally. Not everything is a personal attack.

I actually don't have issues. I'm just tired of the sarcastic comments that a few people on these forums love to make. It's like people can't be nice anymore. I ask simple questions, I expect answers.

There was a previous and fairly recent thread about this - I posted a picture or two of my Varia radar mounted to my Felt AR FRD aero seatpost.

I like it; between a slight bit of hearing loss and windy conditions, hearing cars (especially multiple cars where the noise from the 2nd/3rd might be masked by the first) is sometimes difficult, so an additional set of sensors paying attention is useful to me.

I just bought the Specialized Flux Elite tail light because the strap will barely fit my P2. The Varia has a 4 hour battery life I think is what I heard. I need to do more research

If you use a Fizik saddle, I have a couple of these.

Better visibility for drivers to see the light, and better visibility for the radar to see the cars. Can interfere with a saddle bag or saddle mounted water bottles, but so can a seat post mount...

Yes, I use it on my speed concept 7.5. Radar works remarkably well. The only "bug" I found is that sometimes if there are two cars behind you that are really close to one another it will fail to signal the second one thinking it's just one car. So always wait for a few seconds after you're passed. I've been using it for a month now on flat roads, hilly twisty roads whatever... the thing works.

My coach has it and likes it. The smart lights look cool too.
