Because today's school bus driver recertification finished mercifully early (instead of ~20 minutes from now), I managed to head up to the Y and get in my first swim in six months.

It's an outdoor pool, and, in spite of the warmth of the water, getting back in the water felt great...until I realized how badly out of shape I am. Hopefully, that will change by summer's end.

That's all. Not really something to cry like a little biatch over or even brag about...just more of a relief to finally get back in the pool & thought I'd share. Hope your day was just as, if not more, awesome.

I'm with you. I'd much rather bike or run than go to the pool. I am planning to start swimming next week though. I am now greatful for all the early mornings my mother dropped my brother, sisters and I off at the pool to freeze our asses off at swim team. I'm onlly a decent swimmer but I can get up to the distances I need to get to pretty easily, even after laying off for (many) months.
