Another fantastic relay.
If you want to learn how to ski classic, check out Olsson on the second leg.
If you want to see how to win a sprint, then watch the video.

Thanks Halvard.
What a race!
Proud of team France confirming and coming out these Championships with great memories and a handful of medals!

Northug's final climb was IN-SANE! What a powerhouse racer! So much strength and composure to finish strong.

France got medal in last year's Olympics and again today. That is good for the sport. France is really good in biathlon so why not xc-skiing?
The three first skiers on the Norwegians team did their first world championship, only Northug had experience.

Also Falun is one amazing place for a world championship. Around 50,000 spectators today.

I strongly believe Northug is from another planet like Hoth where you have to ski to survive!

France used to be stronger in biathlon and we had years without a leader, a direction and motivation for a new generation, our ski federation is also sometimes hard to understand. Downhill seems to get all the attention and other types of skiing have to work it out on their own.
It is quite common for our xc skiers and Nordic combined specialists to have a job on the side, not that they spend a lot of time there....
It looks like we are headed in the right direction though. There were talks of Martin Fourcade to join the relay yesterday as he is such a strong skier. He had plans to double up biathlon and free (skate) this year but he got sick and decided to stick to what he knows best (shooting straight and skiing hard).

Falun is indeed an incredible venue. The fans are genuinely passionate and it shows! Wow!

I picked up skate skiing a few weeks ago as a cross-training sport and I am hooked!
I watched most of the videos you had linked on ST and it helped a lot.

I am off for a 16k loop now and I am pumped!

You are a great ambassador to sport in general Halvard! Keep it up!
