Great race. Its a pretty challenging course, bike has some solid rolling hills and the run is, i believe, even more challenging than the bike. Swim is typically always wetsuit legal, everytime ive done it the water hasnt been rough. Don't remember what they served at aid stations.

Practice riding, running hills.

Great decision on the race, its a good one.

Great race. Tips? Definitely don't go out the night before but would definitely suggest staying at the Osthoff to ease logistics. Also, prepare to swim, bike, and run hard - although you might not be making it your A-race plenty do.

What Tom said. Not a real big race but good competition and challenging course. Early June in WI almost always means wetsuit legal. There are only a handful of USAT events in WI before the Nationals cutoff date, so good opportunity to qualify.

I believe water temps are typically mid to upper 60's. Very comfy for wet suit swimming. No aid on the bike, enough on the run. Pace the bike well because the run will chew you up regardless. The (should have been) winner last year had to pull out because of heat exhaustion I believe. It wasn't terribly hot but he was wrecked. Way ahead of everyone, my guess is he over biked and paid dearly on the run.
