If any of you are in the New Orleans area on June 8 and are looking for something to do, come over the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway and race the Du-Donnie-Du. This is a 2/10/2 duathlon which is benefiting Donnie Jarrell in his fight against Lou Gerhig's disease. Donnie has been one of the top Clydesdales in the South Mid-west region and finished 313 in the 35-39 age group nationally. Donnie and his wife have a 2 year old daughter and, since they are both public shcool teachers, Donnie teaches autistic children, they need all the help they can get. The cost is $30 and it stays that price all the way to the race.
By the way, Donnie has trouble with his upper body at the present time but has completed 4 sprints since April.
