Di2 Ultegra: How much did YOU spend for the build?
Just toying around with the idea of going Di2 ultegra. I have a trek 7.5 SC, and think it would be cool to make the jump.

I know I would need the battery, FD and RD, as well as the shifters and cables. Would it be dumb to keep the mech brakes?

Curious what you paid for the set up. Feel free to PM if you don't want to broadcast your details.

Thanks.

I built up a Cervelo S2 a couple of years ago for $2900 all in. Frame was $1500 and I snagged a full Ultegra Di2 groupset (including cranks and brakes) for $1200 on eBay. Not the TT kit but the upgrade kit keeping your existing brakes and cranks should be a lot less.

I just spent <$1000 for an 11-speed kit at Competitive Cyclist. Doesn't come with the power kit and it's standard road shifters. I'm selling the parts I don't need (eg, the crankset). You could always look at doing a road kit, sell the shifters and purchase the TT ones separately.

Around $1200 for groupo plus $150 for the build on my SC. I will never go back. I do not see any reason to change the brakes either.

The mechanical brake calipers are the same as the Di2 version, or are you talking about the brake levers? Those are worthwhile so that you are able to shift from the bullhorns as well.
