DVT/PE in Endurance Athletes
I am an Exercise Physiologist/Marathon Runner at Hartford Hospital. Our research group studies blood clots in endurance athletes, and were of the first to report an increased risk of blood clots among athletes who travel >4hr to and compete in endurance events. Since, we have done several studies and talks on the topic and have had many athletes come to us with their personal stories. In order to better capture risk factors and circumstance surrounding these events, we decided to develop a DVT/PE Registry. Information below if anyone here is willing to participate. Thank you!
