I didn't have any sort of cable tv for over a decade untill I finally broke down and got Dish just so I could watch cycling on OLN. Frickin Dish dropped OLN recently so it looks like I'll be switching to Direct TV.

Who did you talk to? If it was the customer service line, they were lying to you. They told me MONTHS ago that they were still negotiating and they hoped to have OLN restored very soon.

DirectTV is coming out here next weekend...

Hey, after I posted, it occurred to me that I hadn't actually called my provider to complain about that. So I did, and learned that OLN is actually coming back to Dish Network sometime in the next few weeks! Yay! (George, the technical support guy who told me this, didn't have an exact date, but did say that it would be in time for the hockey playoffs. I'm under the impression that the hockey playoffs actually run for eight months out of the year, but I can't hazard a guess on when they start).

Your last quote didn't come through so maybe you know someone who has more info... I just gave them a call and granted my Hindi is a little rusty but I'm pretty sure he said "we are in negotiations and we hope to have it back soon, but we cannot guarantee that it will be back at all."
