I was having a difficult time doing workouts on my trainer while watching this season's The Walking Dead (TWD) episodes. I found myself doing VO2 max intervals during mellow portions of the show and recovering while zombies were attacking. So, I began creating workouts synched to episodes of The Walking Dead to see if I could create a workout that allowed me to do my harder intervals during the exciting portions of the show and recovery when things were slow and I wanted to listen to the dialogue. I rode it once and thought it was a lot of fun and surprisingly more exciting because I could see the workout graph as the action was happening (I thought it might spoil things, but it was a bit the opposite effect).
I'm planning on creating episodes for the remainder of the season and will share them via my Trainerroad Team.
The team is open to anyone and it's all free. I created TWD episodes from Amazon Instant Video SD version of the show, but the iTunes video has the same duration, so I assume those work as well. Simply synch the workout time with the run-time of the video and you should be good to go. I appreciate any feedback, so I can make these better!
