Took my 60/90 flos out for their maiden voyage yesterday--so stoked to get out that I left two hours before joining up with the group ride leaving from the LBS.
Rode south into a headwind and learned a thing or two about riding high-profile wheels in crosswinds.
My garmin lost satellite reception, never to return, at the 8.81 mile mark. On a road with way too much traffic for that to happen.
My tights chafed the backs of my knees (bloody when I got home). WAAAAAHHH
I turned back towards town and the GDMF wind turned with me, now riding into a REAL headwind, such a complete crybaby that I just pedaled and felt sorry for myself. DOUBLE WAAAHHHH
So slow getting back to town that I MISSED the group ride.
Talked myself into a twenty-minute climb that took me twenty-four minutes, limped home after three cold hours, drank a beer in the shower like Crash Davis only there wasn't a cycling umpire for me to call a c@<%sucker.
Could barely get through a 30min recovery run this morning. <sniff>

Training has been going PERFECT, until yesterday..........
I had a 90min trainer ride and yes, I actually LIKE the trainer (thank you, trainerroad.com). I started out ok, first 15 min felt like 30 min, then I hit the 30 min mark I had already stopped 3 times...WHAT THE &*%$ in 30 min...Kept telling myself to get my shit together. So I decided to stop the workout I was on and do another one, oh that lasted all of 15 minutes..FML!!! I finally said screw it and stopped. I had a stare down with my bike, I didn't win.
Ohhhhhh the panic slooooooowly starts to creep in...I obsess about how I'm going to lose fitness because I only did 45 min and my training plan said 90 min! Where's the ledge, because I'm about to jump off! Of course I send an email to my coach which I'm barely able to get through because I'm hyperventilating, who I'm pretty sure thinks I'm a nut case at this point.
Ohhhhhhh and to top it off I ate half a pizza and a PAN OF BROWNIES!!!!!
Now, I'm off to run. Trust me I already know it isn't going to fair well.

My LTHR is way up to 180 bpm.....WAAAAAAAHHH
My resting HR is up to 54 bpm.....WAAAAHHH
I'm 8lbs over normal training weaight.....WAAAAHHH
My right knee hurts from "hill climbing" bike intervals without actually using risers to adjust the climb angle.....WAAAHHH
My psoas muscles are killing me after trying to "make-up" a long run without having the proper build......WAAAHHH
I have no motivation to run or bike because it's gross outside and I hate trainers/treadmills.....WAAAHHHH
Why can't everyday be LCM day at my pool....WAAAHHHH
I am getting old and it's harder to recover......WAAAHHHHHH
Hmmmm, I DO feel better now!

Yesterday after work, ran 7 miles, then skipped dinner and went straight for dessert, 1.5 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Yes, people I ate almost TWO BOXES!!!! Tagalongs and Samoas. I'm flipping the &^%$ out right now not to mention sick to my stomach, literally.

Great weather in the Pacific NW over the last few days/weeks. I actually played hookie yesterday and actually took a lunch break (waaahhh corporate america). I rode my new tri bike at lunchtime. In the sun. It felt great! Now SNOW is in the forecast. Then. Rain. Waaaaaahhhh to Spring.
