Comfort (or lack of) on old school Cervelo P3SL
Quote | Reply
This came up in another thread.
Have a 53cm 2005 Cervelo P3SL. Love the bike but around age 50 I'm taking a beating on longer TT rides.
I do a bunch of riding on commuter and MTB.
Currently have stock alu vision cockpit and carbon seat post, alu track dimpled zipp 606 wheelset, michelin prorace3 23mm tires, profile tri-stryke saddle.

One tip was going 25mm tires. Any more tips on making the seat mast area more compliant?

What tires and tire pressure are you running?

besides tyres, saddle is probably the next place to look.
You *might* gain something by going to the carbon post from the aluminum one (if you don't already use it) but likely nothing noticeable.

Fork maybe...

P3SL wasn't/isn't the most plush bike

Already have the carbon post, running Wolf fork. Oh well.

The were 3 Wolf forks with 3 different steertubes. CL = steel, TT aluminum and SL = carbon. If you are riding the TT version it would help to track down CL one.

The SL was recalled and shouldn't be ridden.
