I was also hoping for a stream of some kind to watch this, but couldn't find anything. Couldn't even find the start list, but didn't spend a ton of time looking either. Any insight would be appreciated.

I was able to get a live stream of Dubai TV from this page, had to use Google Translate but there are links to live streaming down in the bottom right of the page, aswell as link to their sister channels (in case it is on Dubai Sport and not the main channel).

Thanks for sharing these links -- race is 24 hours away. 20 meter draft zone will make the bike leg decisive.

Not sure it's quite that far away now. The event timetable on the official web page states start time 06:45 (Pro Men, Pro Women 5 mins later) which I assume is local time in Dubai. As far as I can tell Dubai is UTC+4 so that's 4 hours ahead of me (UK), which will be 02:45. That's just over 12 hours away for me, I think.

I guess for most STers that is 21:45 or 22:45 in NYC or on the East Coast tonight, and 18:45 for you West Coasters.

If I've got this wrong somebody please tell me, because I'm not sure I'm getting up at 02:45 to watch this, as much as I'd like to...

According to Raelert Brothers' post on FB, "Race start is at 6.45am (3:45 german time).", i.e. 2:45 UK time

"Morning world! Ben here ( ‪#�BP‬ ) we're in Dubai with H ready to toe the start line of her first race of the 2015 race season, Challenge Dubai. It's no secret it's a big one. Racing over the half distance format of 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run. The field is deep and the competition is fierce with the top four from the 2014 World Championships on the start line. Conditions are in favour of strong bikers with winds blowing pretty hard. H is in a good place, preparation... has gone well, she's both excited and nervous, but definitely ready to race her heart out. No longer does H get the chance to fly under the radar, no longer is H a 'little fish', she's a 'big fish' in a field full of 'big fish', but most importantly she's ready to race and do battle. As for coverage, well I'm simply not sure how this will go.

I've received strong indications that live broadcast may not happen. I've provided 3 links and will let you guys figure out the rest whilst I do what I need to do on the ground here in Dubai.

Guys I think we are a hour away from this starting. My world clock on my phone says it is 5:45 local in Dubai.

That could be the case. when i first opened the link there was a countdown clock but now it just says "please stand by Starting Soon".

Just coming up to 6 am. Windy as all frig here. Swim changed to a 2-loop with short beach run. 21.7 degrees water, wetsuit-legal. Also about 21 degrees (70F) air temp. Shouldn't get too much warmer than that.
