Cervelo P2 Saddle height?
hi all

I've been doing triathlons for a few years now, - sprints and standard distance and recently upgraded from a carbon road bike to a classic Cervelo P2 (not the very latest one).

But I just cant seem to get the seat height right. My inseams 83cm and I'm 177cm in height. I've tried various online forumulas which all bring the seat height to around 734 to bottom bracket - but this just seems way too low for me and doesn't seem to generate the power.

I've got a bike fit booked for late November which will sort this, but until then anyone offer any advice or figures based on their P2?

thanks

TP

Instead of doing a calculation, why don't you just raise it and lower it until it fits comfortably?

If it's too low there is no reason to pay someone $100+ to raise it 1cm.

Here is something to think about:

Put the bike on the trainer in the condition it is in now. Warm up however you would like.
Ride a 3 min time trial as hard as you can, record power
Do it again.
Raise saddle 1 cm
Ride the 3 min time trial again, and again.

See what gives you bigger numbers.
Do it again tomorrow starting from the higher position.
