Calculating FTP on 30 min TT
I did a 30 min all out TT on my own (not racing) on rolling terain. How does this compared to a 20 min FTP test? Should I take average power and reduce by 5% like a 20 min test or reduce by 2.5% since it's longer and outdoors?

The difference between 20 mn and 30 min for me is about 4 watts.

If you have another best effort test in the 4 to 5 min range you can use this site to make a prediction of your 60 min power which may be close to your FTP

30 min solo test is what I have always done. Joe Friel says that a 30 minute solo tt would "give" you your ftp number. 20 minutes after the 5 minute blow out they say to take off 5%.
