Break pads recommendation
Hi. I have a bmc time machine 02 with the aero rear brakes. I need new brake pads. Never had to change then before. Any recommendations on which ones are best? Any thing I should know before replacing them?

Thanks

For aluminum rims I think kool stop salmons are usually the standard recommendation. If you have carbon rims you should probably follow the recommendations of the manufacturer.

Any black compound seems to work...my preference is KoolStop Black. I've used the newest Shimano DA compound, but it seems a bit "grabby", especially when damp.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. Had no idea carbon rims had special break pads. I am on 2015 Mavic Cosmic SLS, so alu rims. Will take a look at the suggestions here.

Blue Swissstops (for alu rims) and your quest is over.

The blue ones are the BXP, right?

Yep, BXP. Flash for shimano/sram and few campag 2016 brake models, Pro for Camapg.
They are also available in low profile version Flash Evo. Excellent blocks in dry and wet.
