Boulder cycling routes

I am in Boulder for ironman and a week after. Where do I go to ride that is not bumper to bumber traffic as that is all I have experienced within a 10 square mile area around the finish area. Is there somewhere quick to go to get away and just ride?

I'm based in Denver and don't ride around Boulder really, but there are some good routes around Morrison and Evergreen. If you want some climbing park at the Evergreen Health Center and ride to Echo Lake, great road and fun to ride. You're not going to get any flat TT practice doing that though.
