I have been on for about 6 minutes, is there any coverage of the Women? Haven't seen them yet.

Pretty big front group for the men.

It would be cool if they had quadcopters/drones flying along, but with all the wires crossing the street, they'd probably crash

Shalane appears to be leading a pack of [very fast] African schoolchildren

Such an insane pace at the front for Shalane. Don't know that anyone has ever gone out so fast at Boston. Will be an interesting dynamic in about an hour, especially with Desi hanging back at what seems to be a more sensible pace

Wish I could be watching - checking the stream periodically. At last check Meb (and Boit?) are up 30 seconds. How big is that for a marathon?

Meb's got a huge gap but the pace is only 2:08 so it's not like he's destroying the course on the day they have(perfect temp, no wind) so not sure what's going on with the pack but perhaps they're gonna try to turn on in the back but hopefully it will be too late. Go MEB!!

They just said the pack will need to make up 10 seconds a mile over the last 6 or 7 to catch him.

Shalane appears to have gone out way to hard. She's been dropped by the lead pack.

Terrific race! Did the pack think Meb wouldn't hold that pace or was 2:08 really the fastest anyone could go today. Great to see him win!

I don't know what happened with the pack behind Meb, but the closing 3mi were some really exciting TV.

Watching him after the win, you'd think he was Richard Dawson on the Family Feud. Kisses. Kisses. Kisses.

Congrats to Shalane for her new American Boston record and PR. Pretty ballsy to go out the way she did.

Is there a payout for that? Might take off a little of the sting

I'm watching my DVR'd version right now.
Seems to me they missed the two big moments of the day.
When and how did Men get away?
When and how did Shalane get put away?

Seems to me those were the big stories of the day and they managed to miss them both.
