If you're out for a few hours you may miss it. It appears the bike was shortened to 12 miles (a direct shot from the reservoir T1 to downtown T2). Based on the LiveTracker and facebook updates.

Haha I saw that, won't have to worry about tracking as it will be over in no time. Fastest run wins.

Wow so 100 70.3 WC Slots are now determined by who can swim/run the fastest.. crazy stuff. Interesting to see the fallout behind this but i'm sure its justified somehow.

I heard the weather was bad but man, to train for a 70.3 and only have a 12 mile bike, ouch

Current conditions on NOAA are 43F, light rain and 17mph wind. I don't know the official reason but I'm sure it's the weather. I saw a FB post that at least one pro rode in his wetsuit.

Rumors on twitter say "snow in the foothills." Isn't Lucky Peak Reservoir already in the foothills? Bet it was a frosty swim.

I have a friend who has been training hard and is at the race. All that money and effort for what? I learned through many races that got changed, or I was hurt, that the odds of getting to an A race healthy, plus good weather is very difficult.

2:13 win time. Not bad for an Olympic close distance time for these guys. Matty lost by 1 second. Must have been an heck of a finish.

that's actually a really shitty oly distance time for pros. Male and female.
but since this race wasn't an oly distance race...

A friend of mine was there but injured and could not race. He posted this on his Facebook page. Couldn't figure out the time on the finish until this thread.

Weather looks fine in this picture. WTF? I did Ironman Wisconsin in 2006 in 50's and rain for the bike, for the run more rain and 40's -- there was no shortening of anything. HTFU!! What is WTC afraid of?

saw this picture and a couple comments on how reed is 'clearly' in front here (his foot is more forward etc...). Too bad the chip is on the other ankle and you don't know where the timing mat starts, how close to the ground the chip has to be to be picked up etc.

why does it look like Reed is winning by a chest, when the finish times say he lost by a second?

Accuweather has the temperature between 47 and 50 from 7am to 1pm and the wind speed from 9mph to 13mph.
Not fun conditions when you expect summer, but did this really warrant canning the bike?? I can't wait for Monty to
chime in...Cyclists must be laughing their butts off.
