Been looking at them also, thinking Landice L8 with cardio console.
Thoughts?
I am about to buy this model, with the ortho belt/suspension. Did you buy one?
Yes, I did. Only have about 100 Miles on it so far. My wife probably has 30. We both are happy. I didn’t get that option, sales guy told me it wasn’t worth it, in the end, do t think it is needed after running on it.
The critique is the following.
- the fan is a fart in a windstorm, useless, plus I’m short, 5’8” and hits me in the face. My wife it is over her head. No biggie, not needed.
- when the incline is up the console does move a bit, but the precor I ran on did also, maybe common. More annoying than anything.
- the attachment for the tablet, nice, quality, but wish I could get the tablet higher up. It rests on the bottom and the top is adjustable to lock it in. again, I’m used to it now.
I love how quiet it is and changes speed quickly for intervals. It feels solid, not like a cheap POS.
Overall, I’d buy again. It was between this and Precor, the precor I could have gotten much cheaper but like the warranty on Landice and assembled here in the US.
I kicked around a Woodway, but shipping is a pain, couldn’t find one to run on, and damn they are costly.
Hope that helps, if you have any questions let them fly.
Thanks so much for your reply, very helpful! Sorry for the long post/questions...but just spent a bunch of money and value your opinion. I will PM you my number....I know this post is going to feel like an interrogation....but very interested to hear a recent purchaser's opinion.
Concerned about the console moving when on incline...actually a lot concerned. I never run less than a 1.0 incline, and usually more. How noticeable is the movement? I spent the extra money on a high end device to get this machine because it seemed sturdy. Do you have it on a mat? I had a $1200 treadmill prior to this one and don't recall it moving on inclines.
When you ordered yours, how long did it take to receive. I added some options and they are telling me 3.5-4 weeks. I am not terribly concerned with this....I can always run outside since the weather cooled down....or go to the gym. Just curious.
I added the tablet attachment, but was concerned it was a cheap aftermarket thing. The dealer assured me it was solid and didn't just clip on the treadmill. I bought it. True? What do you mean by "It rests on the bottom and the top is adjustable to lock it in" . Is it an integrated part of the machine? Could you remove it and the machine look normal? Can you not adjust the arm that the tablet mounts on to get to the height desired?
I know this is a novelty....and likely something I won't use, but have you tried the integration with RunSocial, or other programs? Very few treadmills have this built in, but the Landice L7/L8 does. Thought it may be interesting to incorporate on long runs.....load a course, watch it on the iPad, and the treadmill automatically adjusts incline.
Would love to hear additional feedback as you put the miles on your Landice. I do 90% of my running indoors and excited to put it to the test. I hope I made a good decision.....I know I am tired of reading about treadmills!!!
