Best TT Bike - No budget

What's the best TT bike available right now, price doesn't matter. But it has to be legal for ITU sanctioned non-draft races.

New p3 with slick aero bar. Or p5-3 if you can find it

Shiv tt also a good option. Or the plasma 3 or new plasma 5 without the bottle for the tt

Edit: disregard. I read uci tt instead of itu

The one that fits you the best.

On the internet, you can be anything you want. It is a pity so many people choose to be stupid.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned it but Trek Speed Concept. I've raced ITU non-draft with it in non-UCI trim and never heard a word (as have numerous other age groupers I'm sure) but if for some reason your race falls under UCI regulations you can just take of the draft box (flat kit and actually makes you more aero) and order the UCI compliant base bar.

The only bike I can think of that *might* be faster than the Speed Concept would be the P5-6 and that would only be if you are a very fast rider (low yaw) and the delta would be quite small. I don't think the P5-3 would be faster than the Speed Concept at low yaw (it would be very close) and I know it would be slower at high yaw (>10 degrees).

the frames are prob faster but on real conditions outside the wind tunnel I will take my shiv with the integrated fuel solution.

IMHO

I'll throw out a Falco V. No idea really, but just a hunch.

According to bike radar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaXEFCiOlfw
If I won the lotto, the P5 would be in my stable tomorrow

You can fit the shiv reservoir in the IA. And the speed concept has some great integration.

best is a subjective measurement. To me, the P5-3 with hydro brakes, aduro bar, di2, and some fast wheels is my best. I'd opt for the 3 over the 6 to skip the beard to keep things that little bit simpler, its also negligibly slower and I think the 3 looks better. Also to be best it would be custom painted.

Falco V and other beam bikes aren't ITU legal.

IA FRD stiffest tri bike you will ever ride with aero dynamics that are the best out there. I work in a bike shop and have ridden top level shivs, speed concepts, and P5's and nothing has compared.

Just because you *think* a bike feels faster, doesn't mean it is faster. I'd stick with a P5-3 if I had no budget limit as this bike has been shown to be very fast on many different tunnel tests.

Obviously. Of course I've been on the wait list for almost a year and a half with delivery in December 2015... and that was before his accident. :(

As a first pass, I would look at Trek SC and Shiv TT (not the Shiv tri)

of course, if it was me I just would say to hell with ITU racing and buy a Dimond ;-)

Well if you are talking about buying a stock "ready to ride" bike this is the fastest, I think, you can get in a factory spec.
http://www.canyon.com/en/triathlonbikes/bike.html?b=3330
Purely cause no other stock bikes come with a disc wheel.

IF you are talking about your own build
Rear Wheel- Lightweight disc
Front Wheel- Hed H3 Disc
Crank- Zipp VumaCrono
Grouppo -Sram Red
Shifter- R2C Zipp
Rear Mech- Aero rear mech (http://velonews.competitor.com/...cialized-shiv_125175)
Brakes- Magura or Tri rig up front
Frame- Shiv TT- slammed stem

But really there are a cast of frames you could pick from.

Other great components you can include on a build
Bars- 3t Ventus
Deda Bandito
Hed Cosair
Enve Bars
USE Tula Carbon
Wheels- Zipp Sub9 disc
Hed Stinger DIsc
Mavic with the aero wings for the tyres
Frames- Canyon Speedmax
Either of the Shivs
Felt IA
Cervelo P5
Cervelo p3
That custom frame wiggins road at london
New Scott
Pedals- Speedplay
Look Blades

There might be a 2 watt difference btn the p5 and the shiv, but you can save 20 by choosing the right components.

Other good ideas are to lose the front mech and just run a rear, that has to be worth 2 watts or something

Any other wicked components ive missed?

Yeah, that's +1 the Canyon Speedmax CF. Not the most expensive, might not be the most aero, but it's the one I want the most. Build with DA Di2, Enve SES 6.7 and a Lightweight Autobahn to switch in for races. Happy enough with my Quarq so would bang an Elsa on there now that it mixes with DA9000. Spesh Sitero, assuming I can get it far enough forward on the CF.
