Any recommendations for whether Coconut Grove versus Miami Beach is a better area to live for those who love to train and for whom health, wellness, and fitness are an important part of their lives? Thank you.

I would have to say Miami Beach. I don't live there but I do travel to Miami quite often. Hell I have even ran past Leanda Cave a few times while running in Miami Beach.

I used to train a lot in Miami. The sites and sounds make training there always motivating. Plenty routes well lit routes. And a1a gives you limitless miles to ride. But it will get routine eventually and that would require you pass through some bad area. Also living in Miami beach is much more expensive. If I were to move there , coconut grove is wheeler I would rather live. Can always drive to the beach.

Miami in general has a lot of bad to downright dangerous areas between the good ones. So keep that in mind no matter where you go.

"In the world I see you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Towers. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying stripes of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway." T Durden

Have you considered Key Biscayne?

I rode down in Key Biscayne when we were there for Escape to Miami – awesome section of Miami.

I was down there last week for an interview for a summer internship at the federal courthouse. I'm praying I get it so I can start training with some So.Fla STers. lol
