Best Bluetooth Headphonez
Looking for recommendations for Bluetooth headphones for the bike trainer.

I have never found an earbud that stays firmly in my ear once I start sweating so "ear hooks" are proffered unless something else exists. And sound quality/volume is important to me.

Any suggestions?

Tried a few different brands, but honestly have been the happiest with this pair on Amazon by Phaiser.

Living in Florida, and running outside in the glorious humidity definitely stresses headphones waterproof/sweatproof rating. Can't beat the price, and honestly the customer service has been great. My fiance somehow cracked her pair (think from sitting on them in the car), and they sent a pair to us under warranty.

https://www.beatsbydre.com/...powerbeats3-wireless if you want ear hooks.

I used to have Jaybird Freedoms and I couldn't get them to stay in my ears.

Why don't you just use a speaker?

I currently use a 5 speaker one sub system. Unfortunately I won't have that option for the next month or so with my temporary living situation

Bragi. No stupid cords and they even have internal storage so you can leave the phone at home when you go for a jog, this was a game changer for me. And you can swim in them, though I havent tried that yet. I got mine on Amazon for just over $200.

Consider noise cancelling headphones. They reduce the background noise from the trainer and AC unit, so you can listen at a lower volume level. I've lost a lot of hearing over the years, so being able to listen to audio books at a reduced volume level, because of reduced ambient noise, has become a big deal as I try to protect what hearing I have left. I've tried a number of different noise cancelling designs over the years, and my favorite for cost/benefit is: Audio-Technica ATH-ANC23

Not BT, but there's plenty of noise cancelling designs that are BT.

Spending hours with headphones on that are loud as hell is pretty darn punishing to your hearing.

Backbeat Fit. They sound better than the Beats that cost way more, are sweat proof, have excellent battery life, are super comfortable and not too expensive.

PowerBeats 3 hands down. Expensive as he** though but worth it IMHO.
Watch out for spray on sunscreen as it will mess with the remote contacts.
Warranty is 1 year and pretty much no questions asked.

I've had mine for a couple of years so I probably get about 6 hours now. I think they state 8 hours. I don't usually let them run down though. I use them on the train everyday to/from work and for runs. When you turn them on a little British lady tells you how many hours you have left.

I tried the Powerbeats and found the sound quality super disappointing for a £200 pair of headphones. Awful, muddy sound. Got a pair of Betron headphones which look quite similar for about £20 off amazon, still not audiophile quality but just as good as the Powerbeats at a snip of the price. If you're looking for great sound quality don't go for Bluetooth headphones!

Mpow Wolverine. For $20, they stay in fine, good battery life, and I can listen to podcasts on long runs or trainer sessions. Hard to beat when the contenders are 10x the price.

I recommend wired, over-ear headphones for a trainer. Sound quality is better than BT. They are more comfortable. They eliminate a lot of ambient noise. And, they are cheap. Since I am on a trainer and close to the audio source, the cable is fine.

I use the Plantronics BackBeat Fit for running (and riding outside when feasible). They are awesome, and if they died tomorrow, I would get another pair right away. But, for indoor work, over-the-ear are better suited (in my humble opinion). The BackBeat Fit would not be good for a trainer, because they intentionally allow ambient noise through. I also have a very nice set of Bose noise cancelling headphones, and I would never use those for any exercise, because all the sweat tends to ruin headphones faster than usual.

I hate earbuds, but I got a pair of Jaybird X3s a couple months ago and actually have no complaints about them. I've never had an issue of them falling out of my ears and they sound great. There's an app you can download too and mess with the EQ.

Having killed a set of yurbuds I too was in the market a while back.

Came across Bose sound sport sweat and water proof Bluetooth earphones and they are great. Fit well and stay in place when running. Came with bonus of a microphone also so can be used as hands free for calls if needed and button on phones to answer etc.

6 months later still going strong. Battery lasts around the 3-4hr Mark before recharging.

I bought them for the guarantee if sweat killed them I'd get a refund or replacement.

Excellent earphones. Recommended.

I'm a big fan of the Apple Airpods. I've had them since they came out and they work and sound great. I don't bike with them much mainly because I mostly run. So far I've got approximately 1,000 miles on them in humid Houston including many downpours (one just this morning).

Are the beats v3 any more sweat proof than v2? I killed 4 or 5 beats v2 all due to sweat and I had the sport version. Eventually gave up and got amazon to give me a full refund.

Get any Amazon <$35 BT headset with earhooks. Lots of them out there, most of which have excellent warrantees of 1yr.

None of these are bulletproof, but I've killed 2 Jaybirds just as fast despite being very careful with them.

The best part about these cheaper Chinese BT headphones is that if they break/die under warrantee, you can have a new set in 2 days - they will literally ship it to you the day after you email them about the failure. I doubt the big companies with pricey headphones can afford to do this.

I've been using them too and they are working great. I bought silicone covers and that keeps them in place running. They don't move at all. For biking, I add the silicone leash that connects them and keeps you from losing one if it pops out in high wind.

Which covers? I just picked up a pair and they stay in pretty well. The only thing that makes me nervous is the strap on my helmet knocks against the extended part and I'm worried it will get popped out.

Favorite part so far is being able to just take out the left one and only listen to the right while riding. (insert reason I am a terrible person for listening to music at a reasonable volume in one ear while out in the wild)
