I need to replace my BB and it is not threaded. Does anyone have a favorite bearing press tool?

I've been using one of these for a few years, and it does the trick, works well for wheel hub bearings too:

That said, if you don't mind spending the money, I'd get one of these..

I just made a quick one with a by cutting two pieces of scrap wood, drilling a hole, and placing a threaded rod through. Put a nut and washer on both sides and tighten

That Park tool bearing press is interesting. I hadn't see that one before. When I put the threaded adapter on my BB-30 frameset a couple of years ago, I used their headset press -- HHP-2. Also a very nice piece of hardware. Overkill perhaps but quite nice

Yikes. Glad I wasn't putting in bearings. That would have sucked.

It may depend on which BB you have.

You can use a BB30 drift set for a couple different systems like BB30, PF30, BBright

You will need two things.. a press and the drifts. I use the Wheels Manufacturing press and have some Park Tools drifts... Wheels Manufacturing makes a set of multi drifts that would work well if you don't have the drifts.

Someone above mentioned wheels manufacturing. They make good stuff, I just got there lower end bearing press which was like $30, not too expensive even if you don't plan on pressing bearings that often. They also sell all sorts of individual drifts for <$10/each. It's really not that hard to press bearings, if you are at all mechanically inclined, so it's probably worth the investment.

Here's the webpage with all their bearing press stuff:

They also sell just about every replacement bearing you would ever need

Check the link I put above... I bought the same one you did since I had the drifts already. The one above for a few $s more includes multi sized drifts. I'm almost tempted to return mine for that one.

How often do you change BBs? Take to the LBS, $10 you are done.
