Austin massage

I'm going down to do the Austin 70.3 and I'm looking for a place for a good massage on Monday. I'm staying in the North Loop area and was hoping for something relatively close by. Any good suggestions for a place to go for a massage?

Also, this will be my first time to Austin so are there any fun things to see and do? You know, besides this race.

thanks
Jon from Chicago.

There are dozens of threads on here about what to do in Austin, whether you're looking for places to swim/ride/run or social stuff. As for massages I am in the downtown area and use Austin Deep. They are thorough and really work your muscles and would recommend making the trek to downtown area if getting a good massage is a priority.

Performance Wellness is good, just book ahead of time.

Per poster above, plenty of things on the forum/yelp/google.

Thank you. I've booked a massage at Austin Deep and will do some more looking around for things to do while there.

Check out RunLab austin. It's just off the trail and in The Rogue running ship (cool run shop). They are really good at body work and having insurance billed for it so not much out of pocket for you. Worth looking into to.

Mark Kendal - http://www.marklkendall.com/ - he is awesome and works in the area you're staying.
Also Kendal Jacobson - http://www.eperformancetherapy.com/ - though she usually books pretty far ahead.
Both are amazing & I used them for years when living in Austin! Can't go wrong.
