Quarqs are around $1200 to $1600. Stages is the cheapest at $800ish. Power2Max is around $1000 or so.

Clearly not as hard as reading through the first 2 replies of a thread. But that would have delayed your "clever" reply

Quite often, people on this forum know about deals that Google either doesn't show or buries deep down in results. I've often found deals from links here that Google wouldn't show me no matter how many pages I browse thorugh.

craig's list and ebay are also options. After missing a couple of auctions on ebay for a powertap wheelset in the $600 range, i picked up a very good set on craig's list for $400.

That depends on what you want to use it (or any power meter) for. One can only evaluate value when the usage requirements of a meter are properly defined.

THIS.

I dunno why anyone would even consider something else, when you can get this awesome PT wheel for under 8-bills.
Another C-note for the disk cover, and you've got your R race wheel too.

And PT's are very reliable, with excellent customer service for when they aren't.

I've had wired, wireless, wireless ANT, and now the G3 - the G3 is an AMAZINGLY good powermeter.
Other than occasionally not noticing the battery has gotten low, I've had zero issues with it.
And with the new G3 design, if it ever needs to go back to the mothership, it's just the donut with the electronics I'll need to send in, not the whole wheel.

I'd go PT or a used SRM for that two thousand.

No. A great guy on ST sold me a 2010 Zipp 808 with powertap and a disc cover for $800 in March. Works like a charm.

For the past 7 or 8 years, the lowest cost PT has been between around $450 and $900, so I guess the first option would be to do a little more shopping around.
