Just wondering if there are any Thalassemia minor or intermedia carriers doing triathlon. Would love to hear your take on how it affects you. I know Pete Sampras (in tennis) is maybe the best known carrier of this trait and he did fine.

(P.S. For those curious, Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that makes one anemic. Cells are small and misshapen, so oxygen carrying capacity is not good. The trait from one parent is not a problem for doing normal activities. If, however someone carries this trait from both parents it becomes a serious condition.)
