Another GW attack in SoCal
SoCal peeps:

Are you still ocean swimming with the increasing #s of GWs hanging out there and the latest attack at San Onofre?
Did you change your habits and/or schedule?

I really didn't think to much about it and always know that they are 'down there' looking up at me, but all the Youtube drone vids from SoCal beaches and the one last year at CDM give me some pause....

Not totally clear that it was a great white, from what I've read (though I wouldn't bet money against great white, the sevengill is a possibility).

I mostly swim the La Jolla Cove for open water stuff, which though it has thousands of smaller sharks almost within arm's reach, I don't think larger sharks frequent that area.

For the occasional surf entry practice, etc, I just don't think about it. Thousands of swimmers and surfers out there every day. Though it is hard for left-brain knowledge of statistics to override the right-brain visions of shadows lurking in the depths.
