I have problems absorbing fluids during long triathlons. Up until this point I have been taking frequent small amounts. Would it be better to take less frequent larger amounts? I read somewhere that if you fill the stomach it is prompted to empty and move things along. So if I was trying to take 16 oz in an hour for instance is it better to take 8 oz every 30 min or 4 oz every 15 min?

Everybody is different, you have to find what works for you via trial and error.

Try it in training and report back.

Fluids or water? There is a limit to how many calories your stomach can process/absorb in a given time and if you are working hard (or its hot out) that number is less.

Also, If I'm grabbing a bottle it will be for about a third of the bottle. No sipping here.
