Aging up & KQing at late season race Quote | Reply

I age up in 2014 and was considering adding the late season Tahoe to my schedule next year (2013).

Would one race and KQ in his current age group and then compete in Kona the following season with the new AG?

you qualify in the age group you race that qualifier in. Then you race Kona in the age group you are in at the time. So yes, you could qualify in 30-34, but race Kona in 35-39.

Dosn't matter the date you qualified, it's your age on Dec 31st the year you race in Kona determines the age group you race in. So lets say your 39 next year racing in Tahoe you'd race 40-45 if you make it to Kona the rolling year!!!

Man, I'm planning on doing Lake Tahoe and I was hoping no one in 18-24 would do it so I could KQ.
