My "racing" experience is limited to running and triathlon, where I am familiar with the typical five year age group categories. However, when I was checking out a few bike races (via the web), the way they do age groupings and categories made me go "hmmm." It went like:
Pro & 1-2 Men, 3 Men, 4-5 Men, Masters A/B (30+ Cat 1-3), Masters C/D (30+ 4-5 and all 50+).
So, I get the impression that a cyclist in their later forties is no less fast than a cyclist in their early thirties. If so, cool. Are the 50+ riders still pretty fast? I'm 35 FWIW.
TIA,
Brett
