Adding bosses to top tube for bento box

I'm thinking of adding bosses to the top tube of my Cervelo P4 to hold a bento box. Trigrig has a good tutorial on how to do this:

However, sometimes things that appear pretty straightforward can quickly turn into a total clusterf^&% and this is one of those things that you only really get one shot at, so I'm wondering if this is really as easy as they make it seem? Has anyone here done this? Any tips/tricks/warnings to share beyond what's shown in the article? Thanks.

I have added these to a felt carbon frame. My advice is to use aluminum rivnuts. Steel are too hard to install easily, at least with the tool I had. Test install on an old chunk of carbon from a fork install if you have one so you don't deform the rivnut to where it starts to crack the carbon. I also added a slight bit of jb weld in there to guarantee it would not slip. My wife now has the largest bento box I've ever seen on there. Stores 8-10 clif bars. Overall pretty easy.
