3T Brezza 11 Ltd Aero Bar
Anyone have any experience with this bar?

Seems to be offered at a good price - $540? I have a P3 and am wondering if it is compatible? How adjustable is it? Will it work with a standard stem etc?
Any information would be appreciated.

I have one.

They fit standard stem. Nice and light. If you have a super stiff bike (I have a Scott Plasma Premium) they also have the added benefit of reducing some stiffness to the cockpit. They are not flexy at all, but take away some of the frame stiffness where you don't want to feel it.

Fairly adjustable and a few accessories that make stack adjustable from 1cm - 6cm using risers.

Pad width can be adjusted using the pads themselves or if you need to go super wide they do a 3T pad width adjustment bar (Don't use the Zipp ones, the screws break)

Reach is not that adjustable.

A common upgrade is to ditch the standard pads and arm rests, purchasing the 3T Ventus comfort pads and armrests. Much more comfortable and almost compulsory over long distance as the standard ones are a bit small and firm. The Ventus pads, as they are larger, help reduce reach by a cm or so if required.

I paid way more than you a few years ago :)

Sorry that I have not seen this before.
Thanks for the reply - very useful. I am trying to decide between this and the Zipp Vuka Stealth.
Thanks a lot.

How much is the stealth?

If you need to dust reach by a lot then the Stealth is the way to go. If you need to add a bunch of stack through risers then I think the Brezza may just go a bit higher but I would guess the Stealth is a more solid riser setup. The risers on the Brezza can be a little problematic and using the 60mm risers can cause a bit of extension shifting that need to be tightened up just right.

If you are not using a ton of stack then the Brezza is fine.

I have one. I have them on my 2010 P3. Love it. I replaced the pads with Cee Gee pads though, the original ones were not cush at all. Aside from that, no issues. One thing I did to increase strength/stability of the extensions was buy the Zipp BTA holder. Rock solid, keeps flex to next to nil. Great set up & highly recommend it!

For $540 for a slow bar they should pay you.

I could spend 2/3 of that and get you something way faster.

What is slow about it? The second you fart with anything faster, the turbulence created would negate any aero advantage of that bar...

3:1 for starters.
Lot's of faster options, lots of faster base bars/clip ons you could put together.

Assuming everything is on the up and up going with a 4:1 or 5;1 or 6;1 base bar would be faster.

Yeah wind tunnel data is great & all, but it's not real world racing & the R1 may not be a comfortable bar for someone, therefore, the 3:1 choices may be a better bar for them (such as the 3T). I don't know what the case is for this guy but that would be up to his fitter and how he feels on the bike. If it were all wind tunnel studies as to what is best there would be only one choice for everyone. Different folks & different toys to meet those differences.

Just saw a Profile Design Aeria T4+ at IM Chattanooga. Looks great, feels great, very solid, lots of adjustability including huge stack potential if needed with a stabilizing bar should you go above 4cm risers. A bit more pricey at around $950.

Testing the bars at 31mph air speed might be an okay a testing condition for Pros but I would imaging that difference is reduced significantly when you bring the air speed down to ~27mph for an above-average AG.

Btw, what does the numbers actually mean, "power required to move bars through air..." ? Is that with a bike or w/o a bike? Bike + rider?
