It seems accomodation is filling up fast, although someone mentioned that companies are snapping up the rooms then selling them on for a higher price. Anyway has any got any suggesstions for relatively cheap accomodation for one? Was thinking of staying in the Summerstrand area.

Summerstrand is great. For hotels, the Raddison Blu is nice. But all the local Bed and Breakfasts are really superb, very high standard. You could also try and VRBO a place there. "Summer Seas" is a complex right on the beach. Even something far away from the beach is still just a short drive. My sister lives in Walmer and it's literally 10 mins to the start/registration/banquet etc. And I highly suggest attending the banquets - they do it on another level there!

Cool thanks Rob. Where are all the B&Bs advertised? And what's VRBO? Raddison Blu is already sold out!

I would try airbnb or a bed and breakfast as someone just suggested. I always prefer my own kitchen to do my own cooking and have a proper fridge. I did an airbnb everytime i race IMSA..
Good luck, you are in for a treat!

The transition for the IM is right in front of the casino. Most airbnb, BnBs and "guest houses" will be around 3-5km, easy to ride around to and back from transitions....
