2015 Cervelo P2 - Crank Updgrade
Currently have a Cervelo P2 (new), which came with a bbright gossamer crank.

Looking for suggestions on bbright upgrade, or any experience people have with upgrading to something other than the standard gossamer crank bbirght. Anyone have success using one of these http://wheelsmfg.com/...no-cranks-black.html , to switch the a shimano crank? Suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Get a power meter. You can get an FSA k force light by power 2 max, it it both an upgrade and a power meter all at once.

I agree on looking for a PM. I ended up replacing my crank with a Quarq, when I decided to switch from PT. BTW, I still have the 170mm K-Force Light BBRight crankset for sale, so PM me if you're interested

I've just fitted an angular contact version of the Wheels Mfg bb to a Cervelo R3. I've got a Rotor 4624 in my P3 and a Praxis Works BB30 to 24mm converter in my Cannondale. I value screw together type BBs.

For the Wheels Mfg you'll need a Park Tool BBT-29 or similar for the 48.5mm diameter and some 100% PTFE grease is recommended. Normally I use Loctite bearing retaining compound, but the destructions say 100% PTFE for a carbon frame.

A new baby means I haven't finished the build yet so can't comment on creak-free riding, but installation was simple and BB seems well made.

I use a Rotor 3D24 on my bikes with one P2M Type-S. I can quickly swap between bikes. I've got nothing but love for my P2M..

Thanks Allen, would need a 165mm. A power meter is a big investment, whereas a crank sale plus bb is much cheaper. That said something to definitely think about.
