2014 Black Friday/Cyber Monday
I'm back with my yearly post on great Cycling and Triathlon Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals! I hope everyone enjoys my yearly lists. This will be my fourth year! There aren't many deals out there yet, but I wanted to start up my list and get the ball rolling here. As usual, my list is at www.mhutto.wordpress.com

Cheers,

Michael

Garmin does usually have their own sale on a small amt of products. They also usually restrict discounting at other retailers. Some have been successful using the apple reseller model of offering gift cards instead of discounts. A good example is target's 2014 BF ad shows an apple ipad air 2 -16mb w/$140 target gift card for $499. That way apple can still say their pricing is holding up...

I think your best bet is retailers that have straight 30% (or whatever) off everything on their site. The Tri Shop did this last year, and I know several people picked up 910xt's for 30% off.

I always wait for trisports.com to have their 30% off. Then I go buy stuff.

Interestingly, discount only applies to "select" Garmin products. 500, 510, 800, 810, etc. are discounted, but 910 and Fenix are not.

Doesn't work on garmin products.

I'm looking to try to pick up a treadmill this year - Precor or True are at the top of my list. Hoping for a good sale - leaning towards the True PS100.

I track these deals all year long and honestly, black friday/cyber monday doesn't bring you any better deals than what you can get on mother's day for example on 99% of items. Also, I would never buy Garmin from Garmin.com to begin with. their sales are lame when they have them. Also, Garmin prevent retailers to advertise deals or coupons for their products unless they are discounted by Garmin. However, you can still get some decent deals on them. What Edge are you looking for?

Debating the Edge 1000 vs 810/510. Everyone says don't get the Edge 100 because it's too big and too expensive. However, I'm a sucker for new technology.
