2012 TdF Power Files. - Including TrainingPeaks files for multiple riders! Quote | Reply

Instead of spreading all these links around in individual thread, let's put them all in one place.

Stage 4 analysis via SRM, including Jens' numbers from the front of the Peleton and Delaplace's numbers from the breakaway. This is the only power analysis I have seen publicly from a rider in the breakaway.

http://www.srm.de/...g/tour-de-france/730

Chris Horner has been posting his SRM graph everyday so far this tour. Here is Stage 4

In case you have not seen it, here are some files from earlier in the week.

Sagan's complete stage 1

Vincent Villerius prolog. 197 average heart rate!

Daryl Impey's final Km of stage 2

Anders Lund stage 3. average rpm 66, average power 172.

And on those 138 watts Horner still averaged 24+ mph - shows how much speed gain riding in the peloton gives a rider!

1837W is crazy, but 494W average for 5 minutes is complete lunacy. Holy crap!

Training Peaks put out a great blog post with short analysis of 5 different riders. Pretty interesting stuff. Janez Brajkovic does 320np for the final 2 hours of the stage!

0:01 min – 1,409 watts - check
0:05 min – 1,272 watts - check
0:10 min – 1,103 watts - check
1:00 min – 651 watts - 100 watts off
8:00 min – 388 watts - 60 watts off
15:00 min – 337 watts - 30 watts off
30:00 min – 295 watts - check

and yes, I realize his numbers are in the context of a long stage and not personal bests while fresh =)

Not all that crazy for 5 minutes, especially someone his size. But 1800+ at the end of a stage is nuts.

Some great stuff of the Science of Sport blog today comparing the power output f the mountains to previous tours. Well worth the read, skip about half way down the page.

http://www.sportsscientists.com/...ysis-discussion.html

Also lots more data on the TrainingPeaks TdF blog. They seem to be posting all the data from 3 different riders. Chris Anker Sorensen, Kanstantsin Siutsou, and Janez Brajkovic. They even provide a link to allow you to download the file and import it into WKO for your own analysis.

Yes and he is mopping up KOMs left and right. There have been some smaller climbing segments on strave where the previous KOM was in the 13-15 mph range, and the peleton came through upwards of 25mph.

Does srm still have that web page where you can track riders in real time? The one shiwing where they are on the map and the power they are putting out?

Not this year. I am not exactly sure why, but I'm sure its the UCI's fault somehow :)

Sky is also posting power files from two of their riders: http://www.teamsky.com/...nce/0,29255,,00.html. Eisel's averaging over 300 watts just to make it through the mountain stages!
