2010 Cervelo S3 and Di2 questions
Hi,

I have purchased the 2010 s3 size 51cm and it has shimano di2. All of the wires for di2 are on the outside of the bike, do you know if they will fit on the insides of the bike to hid the wires?

Has anyone run di2 inside the bike or will I have to cut the wires and splice them back together.

thanks

I have a 2010 S3 with di2 internal and internal battery in the seat tube. The newer di2 with e tube will fit but you might need to make the holes in the frame just a little bit bigger if I recall correctly. I can't recall if my s3 is 2010 or 2011 model, it might actually be a 2011 model.

I have a 2009 Cervelo S3 that Fastsplits in Needham, MA did a modification to install di2 with an internal battery. All my cables are internal. So it seems like it should be possible for you. I believe they did drill a hole in the bottom bracket to make it happen, or perhaps made the hole where the old cable route thing was slightly bigger.

Put tape over the existing hole and use a slightly larger drill bit than hole and keep moving up one size until it's big enough. I think you need 5.5mm diameter hole to fit di2 plug through

I neve drilled a hole under my bb as I did not need one. Good luck!

Yes, I don't think it can be done without removing it.

Alright I got the front and rear derailleur with easy. I then drilled a hole behind the two holes on the top tube but it seems quite hard to thread the wires down the aero tube. What hole or did you make a hole on the top tube?

I also used these directions

I just enlarged one of the holes that was there already and used that hole. Only need 1 e wire going down to BB area

Hi

I had to drill thought the cable guide were it is supported .
there is no top tube ports on a R3SL
All you should have to do is drill one of the top ports open a little

Any pics of the build? I have a 2012 S2 I am thinking about doing this conversion on? Were you able to do an internal battery?
