I think the QS moves are doomed at this point though.
I think we can also say that Sagan isn't quite right so far this year.

I apologize for my QS smacktalk. That was pretty good racing by them.

what they should have done was to ride for either GvA or Roelandts (but not both) and play for the sprint. That was the only way to catch Terpstra.
And Sagan... He said he was a showman, and for a while he looked really strong, but damn...
Last but not least, QS managed not to snatch defeat from jaws of victory ;)

Point tally out early as Gent is just two days away; as always, check to make sure the tally is correct
E3:
Sagan, Gilbert, Benoot
Stybar, Stannard
3 points
Sagan.
then
Benoot, Naesen, van Baarle, Langeveld
first two are not very dark horses...
2 points
Stybar and Naessen
Perhaps GvA could prove us all wrong, but I doubt it
2 points
Vanmarcke, Benoot, Kristoff
Trentin, Matthews
1 point
Sagan, Stybar, Benoot
Stuyven, Durbridge
1 point
Sagan, GVA, Stybar
Moscon and Naesen
3 points
Sagan, Vanmarcke, Naesen
Colbrelli, Valgren
1 point
Tiesj Benoot
Peter Sagan
Jasper Stuyven
Arnaud Demare
Niki Terpstra
2 points
Kristoff
GvA
Sagan
Vanmarcke
Stybar
Edit: Ooh, think I missed the start of the race with these picks, so feel free to invalidate me. But I promise I had no idea of the race situation when I made them.

Terpstra is a total beast. He's so friggin strong. Gilbert and Stybar did a hell of a job effing up the chase. Gilbert especially looked 30 something, Valverde esque.
The guys who are supposed to look good now were looking good. Sprinter types get a more even shake on Sunday. Did Sagan hit the deck early and did this screw him?

Valverde looking, to quote the commentator, "unbelievable" in Catalunya. Indeed.

Sagan apparently hit the deck, twice. Ouch
Vanmarcke and Naessen were unlucky to have hit the deck as well. QS attacked when people went down...

The entire event (IM) is like "death by 1000 cuts" and the best race is minimizing all those cuts and losing less blood than the other guy. - Dev

Someone should tell the Sky rider "You are looking for a Pinaello, not a Bianchi. Another hint. it is a black bike"

QS is ruthless. Watch Gilbert and Stybar keep rearranging the furniture in the chase group when they could’ve sat on. Hardcore. Lots of pressure on them to win everything this time of year. $$$$$

QS had it all going today. Two guys off the front and then Gilbert taking 2nd? That’s some legit teamwork.
