Hey Kathy, when you say it was 'the first' do you mean it was the first long distance one to be run, or this one was the first time it's been run?

Because that would make it even MORE f'ing awesome if your name is FOREVER going to be the first one on the leaderboard! (I really really hope that's the case!)

Like Patti said, of course it was real and don't you dare sell yourself short!! You did the distance and you beat the field. That's how it works. :-)

Congratulations. On an off note, I have a friend (US citizen in San Francisco) that is interested in visiting Cuba this summer. Do you have any suggestions for airlines, hotels, local transport, tour guide etc. that she can look into?
