Ovarian cysts, please help.
My girlfriend has got one really bad, she had one on her left side and now there is one on her right. We can't seem to get good answers from doctors, nothing definitive I mean, and they have not gone away for 6 months. She has had several ultra sounds and the cysts show up but the docs don't say how to fix them.
She is on birth control as we heard that helps. They hurt bad everytime she rides hard. Any advice is very appreciated. Thank you!

I have a few that have resolved on their own. The last one ruptured about 6 weeks ago, I had pain for about 6 weeks leading up to it. Not excruciating, just constant and annoying. I really felt it when I was swimming. My NP ordered an ultrasound and did a blood test to make sure ti was my appendix or something else. The cyst had ruptured by the time the ultrasound occurred. There's really nothing to do but let them run their course. Surgery is only if they are very large or infected at least this is what I was told.) Advil helped me, BCPs weren't an option for me as I'm a crazy, miserable you know what when I'm on them. Good luck to her, it's frustrating.

Thank you very much. I just want her to feel better. It is so frustrating when I am 100% healthy and your loved one quietly suffers.

I had surgery, but they were growing fast (which is not good). Actually 3 surgeries since they come back and the third surgery permanently took care of it. Maybe she should get a 2nd (or 3rd) opinion?
